Happy birthday to my dear son. He turns 13 today. How'd that happen?
My son still likes to hold my hand as we walk from the car to wherever we are headed. I just love him. It's very disconcerting though to hold the hand of my child when his hands are bigger than mine.
How did it come to pass that we're celebrating his 12th birthday? I can't keep up. This boy who has given me so much and taught me even more. He has persevered through so many difficulties and works so hard to be a part of the world even, no, especially, when the world confuses him so much. I love you, dear boy.
