Our house is coming along beautifully. We've had a few glitches such as discontinued ceramic tile, but the new one is in. Here you see the front of the house.
You walk in through the front doors and see the front foyer--check out the tile.
The three windows are in our living room. To the left is the kitchen.
The hole in the countertop is where the stovetop will go. To the left will be double ovens.
The above picture is the pantry which is in the laundry room. This room is off the kitchen and is very large. Along with the washer and dryer, we will place our treadmill in here as well as our extra refrigerator. This refrigerator holds our kimchi. I am envisioning a wonderfully organized pantry. Let's hope it comes to fruition.
This is our formal dining room which will be used as our school room. We inherited Papa's paternal grandmother's dining room set and will use the table for school and the china hutch as a bookcase.
This next picture is our staircase leading upstairs (as you can see).
Finally, here's the back of the house.
I didn't post pictures of the bedrooms, study or the gameroom because they're just rooms with white walls. After we move in I promise to post pictures.
The backyard is fenced in. The fence people made a mistake and placed the fence at the back corners of the house even though I had specified 6 feet closer to the front. Well, they had to fix the problem. I went to check on the house and found that they had left the concrete that held the posts in the ground. I spoke with the Superintendent and he said it would be okay. They were going to put about 4 inches of topsoil on it and we wouldn't see it. Well, obviously, he doesn't know who he's dealing with. I told him in no uncertain terms that it was unacceptable and they will need to pull those things out of the ground.
I hope you have enjoyed this peek into our new home. We are all very excited about it finishing up. We should be in our home by the 1st of November.
Oh my goodness--that is some gorgeous house! The kitchen is a dream, and the staircase is beautiful. What a joy it will be to live in such a pristine home with all the amenities and comforts a brand new house. I am so happy for you!
Looking forward to seeing the other rooms when they are ready, especially the gameroom!
